Very Good
*Please read in full for footwear/safety advice* The staff here were all absolutely wonderful. Their friendliness surpassed that of other locals I met in different contexts - in defence of the Portuguese people, the pope was visiting whilst I was there and there were apparently between one and one and a half million Catholics that descended upon the city for the related World Youth Day, which was nightmarish for me (and no doubt for anyone with any kind of experience of negativity or abuse in a church context). The streets were intense but the hotel and staff always felt like a calm and friendly oasis in amongst the stress. The room was spotlessly clean, quiet and very comfortable. It was small, which didn’t bother me because I don’t spend extended amounts of time in a hotel room when I’m a tourist. Breakfast and the restaurant/bar were fabulous with excellent service.
The location is excellent, but to give visitors a head’s up, it’s right in the middle of the tourist area. I would encourage you to venture farther afield to explore, which will involve hills and stairs, but it will be worth it. PRO TIP: footwear. Nothing to do with the hotel, but I need to pass this knowledge on because it was a game changer. I spent 2.5 days slipping and sliding atop the beautiful but terrifying tiled footpaths. Eventually I wandered into a shoe shop selling “Portuguese shoes” and it changed everything. You just need shoes with the correct soles for the tiles and boom, you can wander comfortably without fear of injury.

location is great. close to metro, most sights are in walking distance.
Room is not setup in the best way. difficult to access closet to store suitcase and clothes.

Exceptional
Location was amazing, right in the heart of Lisbon. Despite being opposite a main square I never heard any street noise - excellent sound proofing. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Trams, buses and the metro are all within a few metres of the hotel entrance so made it super easy to get out and explore the city. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful
The location was super convenient. The room was beautiful with a gorgeous view of the square. Everything in the room was super clean and new and the bed was extremely comfortable. I have only good things to say about the room!
I was disappointed that the breakfast wasn’t included in the price of the room. I paid 250 euros for a night… I also didn’t like that the hotel entrance is the same one you use for the restaurant. I don’t want to be made feel pressured to eat something when I walk into my hotel.
